I have three DuoDisks (two are being held as backups for "new millenium.")

I use mine normally, but there is no reason why they cannot be used on 
the side.

Hey, I can install twin BUGG-SWITCHES in your DuoDisks for $9.00 plus 
return shipping!  These are 3-way write-protect switches:

      normal notch control ||  always protect || always write-enable

The two switches go side-by-side on on the right-front casing.
