Apple IIgs monitor tuning?
I've started to avidly use my IIgs after a several-year hiatus, and have
noticed that the picture quality of the monitor seems to have degraded.
The two noticable problems are than the entire image seems slightly (5
degrees or so) rotated CCW, and the vertical convergence near the right side
of the screen is considerably (1-2mm) out of whack. Color purity is fine,
pixels are a bit fuzzy but I attribute that at least partially to overall
convergence problems.
I'm not new at all to monitor repair and tuning, but if anyone has any
information on fixing these problems in the IIgs monitor specifically, I'd
love to hear it. My dream is that someone has a service manual somewhere
that I could get the information from, but I'm not holding my breath.
