    Definitely text, posting it in ASCII means everyone can read it,
even on a dumb-terminal (usually lots of those on school campuses).
Also it should be in one large piece, _not_ broken up into a dozen 
or so segments (with formatting fully intact too if possible).

    That is how most reading comp.sys.apple2 would prefer it, so 
those guidelines are a suggestion to whoever decides to post it
up at the beginning of each month.
