X-10 (Usa) used to make a home control interface that had an rs-232 interface
and they supplied software that ran on the Apple //e or //c to control
power switches (on /off) and lights (on/off/brightness).
There is an X-10 NDA floating around in the archives which allows the
Apple IIgs to use the same box.
One member of our group has apparently rigged his house up fairly well.
