Actually for a GS, all you need is a Mac HFS (assuming system 6.0.1) or
ProDOS disk and Shrinkit-GS. That's a real no brainer operation compared
to anything else (which is why having a Mac as an accessory to a GS makes
so much sense).

That's because this discussion was revolving around Apple II's, which do
have some difficulty with resource forks on files (something a Shrinkit-GS
equipped IIgs does not have.) In any case, through thick and thin, it's
still much easier to download onto any II from a Mac, no matter what
Nathan says.

Perhaps, but unless it can solve Apple II problems as well, there's not
much that can be done about it.

What's ridiculous is that Nathan is taking this from the point of view of
someone who has nothing on their Apple II and needs to download everything
from scratch, including binscii. What he forgets is that such a person
will be needing a terminal program anyway, so to save themselves the
trouble, they should just buy that disk which has terminal programs AND
utilities, including binscii, on it.
