     If card popping is a problem and up-down mounting is not an option, 
you could use plastic card guides to hold troublesome boards in place. The 
guide could be end-mounted to the back panel. It would stick out and sit on 
top of the board. If you wanted to remove the board, you would need to just 
loosen the bolt holding the guide. The card guide mounting hole could be 
slotted to accommodate different board sizes.

     As for EMI in the RF range, a hole in the back is not likely to matter 
much. Radiation from your monitor plus computer and monitor power cords 
plus monitor, joystick, mouse, and keyboard cables is going to pretty much 
swamp anything leaking from the case.
