Newbie question about old AppleII :)

I recently bought an Apple IIe computer in a junk store and I need some
help.
I`v got only System disk with it (DOS 3.3) and nothing else. As here is
no equipment or software available for it I can get software only via
Inet and I dont know how to transport files from PC to Apple II.
I'm not sure if I have a serial port. There is a 9-pin connector in the
back. Is this a serial or a joystick port ?  Please, help me.
