For the record: Apple developed Applelink Personal Edition, the precursor
to AOL, in conjunction with Quantum Computer Services. Do you know which
platform was supported by ALPE first? Apple II. I knew people who beta tested
ALPE when it was still using the code name Samuel. I didn't have a Mac back
then so I don't know when Mac support came along.
Now as for what AOL 3.0 can and can't do, I don't know since the buttmunches
haven't gotten the final 68K version out yet. I'm still using a preview
version. If Apple had stayd in the deal, maybe things would be better.
