Pardon... what IRC server are you logging into?  There are various IRC
networks out there so specify what server or network you're on.  (I
spend a lot of time on the Undernet, which is distinctly different from
the network classic videogame group #rgvc is on, which is distinctly
different from the network Apple GS discussion group #csa2[?] is on.)
Nathan, I'm sure you can provide info on where that Apple group is?

Been there, do that, and did on my //e.  Depends upon your server how
you get to the IRC, but if you're lucky enough to have everything text
based (like I do on ProStar, my other acct) then you just select a
server to connect to, give a nickname, and you're in -- now just pick a
channel and make merry with the wildlife.  I can even DCC-download files
sent my way, but we Apples have yet to come up with a DCC-send util.
