Well, I for one want to strike up a conversation on the technology behind SIS.
Are they keeping it secret? I'm very interested in knowing exactly how it
works! I already placed my order. I can't WAIT to play with it. :)
For awhile, (when I first got Spectrum v2.0) I actually tried to design a
script that would FTP to a specified site, download the HTML, and attempt to
organize it on screen based on the tags. (In other words, a browser.) I
eventually canned it out of frustration, but I wondered how long it would be
before somebody really exploited Spectrum's scripting power and made something
like this. And now? hehe The anticipation is killing me! :)
How does SIS handle downloads? Won't it have to go to the provider first,
then to the GS (since it's through a shell), or did they figure out a way
around that?
Since they went ahead and turned off the mouse while downloading in SIS, why
not turn it off for normal downloading in Spectrum? (Zmodem, etc.)
