I have also has similar problems woth ShadowWrite/Hermes, although a little
less predictable than you describe. If I use it too many times in succession
or during the same computing session, it will hang my system.

I have monitored discussion about this on Genie and elsewhere, and many
folks seem to write this off as the fault of the buggy 6.0.1 TextEdit tool.

It does make Hermes/ShadowWrite less useful than it otherwise could be.
