Re: GS/OS for xgs emulator?

Sometimes I think about the question whether these flood of emulators
will help the AppleII or hurt it. Face it, guys: A pentium user will
probably NOT buy programs for another platform, he just uses the
emulator as a free ticket for piracy (exceptions are possible, of course!)
I dare to say that the most sales of gs programs come from users
of a 'metal' gs who are still attached to it like Nathan. A small amount
may come from ex-gs users who now have a Mac. But finally these guys who
have changed platforms will buy more and more platform specific software
and finally convert entirely.
I work much on unix systems and I can't understand the fuss about them.
They are nice, o.k. but not as 'cool' as the gs was. IBMs are another topic.
Macs are basically just a 'mutation' of the Apple II line and they tend to
become as bloated and clumsy nowadays as the IBMs.
I think who programs emulators is probably killing the original system in
the long run. Where is that Henrik Gudat who has programmed these cool
games which show "what can be done with a IIgs"? I think emulators are
nice together with a 'metal' gs, but they are by no means a substitute
for it!
