Nathan,
Appreciated your fine posting...
This is just a note regarding your comments on numbering program lines, especially
the program "RENUMBER":
I've written a large number of Applesoft Basic programs over the years: first
with an Apple II+ and later a GS. When I started programming in Prodos I could
not find a renumber program such as I had on the old II+... I solved this by
keeping RENUMBER in a DOS 3.3 partition on my harddrive. When I ran into a block
(didn't have an opening for new program lines), or just wanted to "pretty-up"
a completed program, I transferred the program to a DOS 3.3 formatted floppy
via a COPY program, ran RENUMBER in DOS 3.3 then retransferred the revised
program back to the PRODOS desktop environment. Sounds a little tedious, but
really goes pretty quickly and definitely worth the time expended when you need it.
I apologize if I'm only stating the obvious...
