Terminal emulation & II GS

I have been tyring to use a couple of shareware terminal emulators for
the IIe (Zlink) and GS (GSVT) on my GS. Neither has been entirely
successful. I am using a Line Link 14.4 modem and accessing a text
account tthough my ISP. I continue to get intermittant garbage on my
screen, It was better when I telnetted to my ISP from another account.
I would welcome suggestions onwhat program to use, and the settings. i
also have a Fast MAc V3.4 modem, but it always hangs up on connct with
my ISP.
Any and all help appreciated.
