If the Docs < ComputerPrice rule is enforced you could be in for
a long quest getting anything like reasonably complete GS
documentation. A copy of the 'Hardware Reference is, today, a bargain
at the original price. The same goes for the 'Firmware Reference. You
may want to zip back to that used book store.
The Apple IIgs Memory Expansion Card is designed for 256k DRAMS.
There is no jumper setting which permits using 1MB DRAMS.
Here are the jumper settings and population order for expansion
beyond 256k:
512K jumper lower pins only / fill in top row
1MB jumper lower and upper pins / fill in top and bottom rows.
