Yes, you can hook up the Focus controller to an external IDE
hard disk.  All you need is the right cable.  Contact the
company SHH Systeme (listed in the A2 FAQ or check the SHH
folder at the ground ftp site) and get the "MicroDrive mounting
kit."  This kit was designed for mounting a 2.5" drive to SHH's
MicroDrive controller, which has a 3.5" connector.  However,
you can use the cable on the Focus in the reverse fashion...
plug it into the 2.5" connector on the Focus and the other
end into your external 3.5" IDE hard disk.
