Joe, I think you should post the list. While there are those Apple II
haters, like Randy Shackelford, who think that it is o.k. to rip off
honest developers of software because the software is for a "dead"
computer, there are still those of us who appreciate the bit of life
that diehards developers confer to our beloved computer.
The people on the list can explain themselves after the list is posted.
Remember that the people on the list may not really be the pirates. If
Shackelford wanted to pirate LemminGS, he could frame Mitch Spector by
deliberately configuring his software to leave Mitch's email address
in the log.
The best solution would be to post the list. Let the pirates fry and
also verify that no one is being framed this way. I know that some
pirates may claim frame-up this way, but you would at least be able to
judge, by their answers, who you think is really telling the truth.
It is no secret that I don't agree with what Apple did to the II,
especially the GS, but even if I agreed 100% that Apple was right to
go gung-ho for Mac, I would be sick to the stomach to think that that
makes it right, in some people's mind, to steal software from the
"obsolete" platform. Post the list. Make the pirates know that there
is still life in THIS "obsolete" community.
