Charles Turley has placed me, and some of you, in a very weird and
uncomfortable situation.
Some of you may think that "anonymous ftp" means that your anonymity is
protected. But, it's not. Every one of your keystrokes are saved to a
logfile when you are connected to an anonymous ftp server. Whether you know
it or not, your actual e-mail address is also logged.
I finally went through the ftp logfile and found out the e-mail addresses
of everyone who downloaded LemminGS and/or the Convert 3200 source code
from the adidam site.
Looking at that list was quite a shock.
It leaves me in a horrible situation. What am I going to do? What can I do?
Forgive and forget? Blame it all on Turley? Turn my other cheek? Post a
list of pirates?
I'm not at all pleased about this situation. But, I'm certainly open to
suggestions about how to rectify this situation as soon as possible.
Thanks for nothing, Turley.
