How are you downloading them? TXT (i.e. Text) files are usually a
sign that it was downloaded in ascii mode. Binscii files can be
transferred fine via text downloads, but .SHK files must be downloaded
via a *binary* connection. Check the downloading options in whatever
method you're using (sounds like a telcom app), and if binary mode is
not enabled, then enable it.
Maybe I need to make the "Use binary transfer modes for .SHK files"
a lot more prominent in the FAQ. Hmmm.
