Anyone can sue for anything they wish, but if Joe posts nothing factually
incorrect, would be sue-ers will not win. In the US, at least, saying bad
things about people publically is perfectly OK as long as what is being
said is factual.

For example a post like this:

Attention, This is the log of ftp site Y showing downloads of X:

<log listing here>

would give no grounds for lawsuit. Of course, like I said. It would be
better if those who know they downloaded the software sent Joe the money,
not because Joe or Brutal Deluxe is trying to get rich off the software,
but because its the right thing to do.
