Dave,

	I found that the Harmonie GS/OS Printer Driver Software from
Vitesse works well with my ROM 1 and HP DeskJet 500C.  Doing a monthly
newsletter for my Masonic Lodge, I am able to print a most readable
publication (no comment on the content!).  This Harmonie version is
2.11.
	I use AppleWorks GS, and have used PublishIt!4, with this
driver.  The only problem I have found with this Driver is that it
*will not* print certain fonts when using GraphicWriter III - for
this DTP I use Seven Hills Independence with fine results from the
HP 500C (no color, however).
	Just my observations, for what they are worth.
