True.  It is the same desk accessory (the Media Controller), but
with a third party driver.  The former owner may have installed it
already.

The NEC drive on an Apple HS SCSI requires Tulin's drivers while
on a RAMFast, the drivers are free from the ground ftp site and
other public archives.
