You will need a Finder Extention named EasyMount in your System Setup
directory. It's part of System 6.0.1. After a re-boot, there should be
a 'make aliases' option available in the Finder Extras menu.
BTW, Nathan, EGO Systems has written an utility named DocAlias which
allows to create Aliases for Documents, too.
