Actually, w/a voltmeter, I found out two spots (the two "circular"
solder points on top of the NSC) that show a potential difference of 3V.
So if your NSC is dead because its out of reserve power (and you can't
swap it for a new one), and you feel like soldering around, just attach
a 2 AA battery holder to these two ponts. Put in it to AA batteries
(check polarity first!), and get it back to work. That way, you can keep
your NSC up for a looong time (BTW, how does it behave after 1999?).
