It's not necessarily the user's fault...I can testify that sometimes the
tabs really are hard to press.  My IIGS's case had a rather annoying set
of tabs--the tab on one side was easy to press and popped open immediately,
but the other side always required so much pressure that I was afraid I
might accidentally break the tab off completely.

Eventually the hard-to-press tab *did* break off, and a little while later
so did the other tab.  So now my IIGS's case is very easy to open--I just
grab the rear edge and lift.
