Regardless of the relevancy based on newsgroup subheadings, such an
announcement from those who are responsible to make the announcement
should appear where everyone can read it. While a game possibly
should be restricted to a .games subheading, something of such importance
as TCP should be announced on all A2 newsgroups except for those
explicitly *not* dealing with the A2 GS. The relevancy here is that TCP
is an internet interface (fully relevent to every newsgroup on the
internet!) and will be highly relevent to anyone with an Apple II gs,
thus any A2 newsgroup.

GS/TCP is much more than a GNO topic, and announcing it elsewhere, perhaps
even in non-A2 newsgroups might inform people who would not otherwise
know. Perhaps some ex-A2 user who now uses the Mac might wish to dig out
their A2 GS if they can get something new for it. Restricting such an
announcement to GNO could be a major disservice to a lot of people, and
would be another of those things that reduce sales even further.
I would even love to see a full minute of national TV advertizing during
the superbowl. Yes, I dreaming! But it might sell a hundred thousand
GS's if there were any to get.
