There's a new standard coming out which has sample c code available at
RealAudio's page - the file's name is rtsp_ref_source.tar.gz.  I haven't
had a chance to take a look at it yet.  I do know that even 14.4k ra
content couldn't be played on my brother-in-law's Mac IIsi w/17MB ram
because of lack of cpu power.
