IIgs Numeric Keypad and emacs
I have been using emacs on my ISP with the following as part of my
.emacs file:
(global-set-key [kp-f1] 'describe-key-briefly)
(global-set-key [kp-f2] 'fill-paragraph)
(global-set-key [kp-f3] 'fill-region)
(global-set-key [kp-f4] 'help-for-help)
(global-set-key [kp-7] 'suspend-emacs)
(global-set-key [kp-8] 'dired)
The following keys are all on the IIgs keypad:
Where kp-f1 = clear key
Where kp-f2 = equal key
Where kp-f3 = / key
Where kp-f4 = * key
Where kp-f7 = 7 key
Where kp-f8 = 8 key
I'm now using another ISP for the next three months and for some
reason this emacs doesn't see the keys as bound as above even though
when I ask what the bindings are the kp-f1, etc., etc., are as above
so it appears that the clear key is not being seen as kp-f1 on this
ISP.
Both ISPs are using the same version of emacs:
GNU Emacs 19.31.1 (i386-unknown-bsdi1.1) of Mon Jul 22 1996 on
usr10.primenet.c\
GNU Emacs 19.31.1 (i386--freebsd, X toolkit) of Tue Jul 23 1996 on
thud.cdrom.c\
Any ideas?
Kind Regards,
