The reference to Wincode, I believe refers to a PC
Windows-based UU encoder/decoder.
This form of encoding allows binary files to be placed in
text file evironments, such as postings and e-mail.
For the Apple II, (GS or non-GS) the PCS (Proton Command Shell)
has a command to encode/decode such files. While it has
no support for JPG files, it does support viewing GIF files
on the IIGS. For Apple II users, more info can be found at:
