Okay, ya got me ... there is one 'Select' model that has Localtalk. I
kinda sorta thought that, but wasn't sure. A further look on the list
in the back of the book shows it, and now I even remember seeking out
motherboards and converting any of those Select series when I had the
chance.

You can use a serial cable straight to the printer, too.

I just never recommend that because people tend to find those cables
with the "S" sticker on the bag all too often and those, or the one
that comes with Apple's MIDI box - do not work as that "S" means
"Straight" and those are used with a switch box, because they do not
flip the TX/RX.
