It's not a rumor. Apple is purchasing NeXT. Since Steve Jobs owns NeXT
he is going to be once again an employee of Apple. Apparently, however,
he's not going to be all that active. The description of SJ's new
position was "part-time."
Before anyone thinks "Woo hoo! Maybe this bodes well for the Apple II!",
Steve Jobs was the inventor of Apple's policy of ignoring the Apple II
and hoping it would fade away.
