My point was HD 5.25" diskettes differ from HD 3.5" diskettes.
In a Double Density floppy drive, HD 5.25's are about as useful to
the drive as an old LP record (if you could fit one in ;). This is
not a matter of whether a good idea or bad, it just cannot be used.
An HD 3.5" can be formatted and used in a Double Density 3.5
floppy drive, it will work by comparison. However, as I said in my
original post, it is *not* recommended, and I don't think I would
personally recommend doing it either. I just wanted to dispell the
myth that a Double Density 3.5 drive would treat an HD disk in the
same way a Double Density 5.25 drive treats an HD disk.
