Sounds like the store picked up a bunch of IIgs systems from a school board 
-- but SCSI cards in them doesn't jive with the setup most schools had.  
I'll bet he got them for free on a call of "come and get them; they are 
going to the dust bin."  Then, maybe they were stored in the dust bin...
 
Many schools never upgraded their IIgs systems from ROM 01, and a ROM 01 is 
not much better than an expanded IIe.
