     Although the GS has pins to run a 12V fan and a place to mount the
fan on the power supply, the fan is not standard. Internal fans do not
help all that much with cooling. For one thing, very little cool air is
not being brought in (mainly, the hot air is being blown around inside); 
and, air is being blown where, really, it is not needed. Besides, the
internal fan is noisy.

    Consider getting rid of the internal fan (or, at least, disconnecting
it).  The GS does not need forced air cooling unless you are running some
hot plug-in card (like an accelerator board)  or have the Slots stuffed
with several boards. The best way to cool a GS is with a System Saver
IIgs.
