There seems to be a recent trend in making cards too tall.  I
remember trying to fit one of the newer cards from Seq. Sys. and
having a height clearance problems.  You can remove the metal
shield for more space.  Take a pair of needle nosed pliers and
gently pull off the plastic contacts connecting the metal shield
to the lid.  The shield will pop off.

The computer seems to run fine without the shield.  The lid is really
a necessity to protect the computer.
