Wow what lively discussion!
I have borrowed a BF 430 serial server box from a friend at work to
join to my LAN, and hope to use modem MGR or whatever is the best
choice from Asimov on the //c.
Will buy a les2700a serial server from ebay as suggested, this really
looks like the best option: tried Cygwin and it doesn't recognise
"getty" being typed into the cli. I'm not very good with unix.
I gather I must make up a serial lead just like at
http://adtpro.sourceforge.net/connectionsserial.html but with TxD and
RxD swapped on one end to not have a null cable.
Any suggestions are appreciated. I'll let you know my progress. Thanks
