Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm an Apple man through and through.  
Besides, my major reason for desiring this connection is to enable me to 
access the AppleTalk servers over ethernet which I could not do if it was 
through the linux box.

Thanks anyway, though (should maybe added to the FAQ?).
