Bad news...when I went to go get the chips I couldn't find the
instructions, I do remember that the chips replace U25 on the Profile
controller board. Beyond that you're on your own. The response to my
original post has been overwhelming...but since I don't have the
instructions and I'm not entirely sure both of the two chips are in
working condition (however I will guarantee at least one of them works) I
would think it better to sell them both to the same person for $20 US
funds. If you already responded to my post before, and are still
interested e-mail me again, and I will arrange to sell them to the
earliest respondent. Remember, you need an Apple III (or ///+) to use the
formatting firmware.
Also, one fellow e-mailed me to say he also has a formatting chip but he
needs the instructions. So if any of you have the instructions on how to
use these chips properly, please e-mail me so I can send the information
on to others.
