Look at the headers. swebber@nether.net probably doesn't even exist, or
is some poor innocent sap wondering why the whole world hates him now.
If I recall correctly, this one was from netcom or somewhere other than
nether.net. Netcom is very good at tracking down abusive account use if
you can forward the headers to abuse@netcom.com, if you see from the
headers that a netcom account is being abused this way. They will even
email you a follow up detailing any action taken, and which accounts
were terminated. I was impressed as hell when they sent me a thank you
note after I forwarded something to them.
