Spectrum 2.1

I just updated my Spectrum 2.0 to 2.1.  I telnet to a pine server.  I now
find that when I try to use ^K, all I get is a move to the previous
line, the same as ^P. I also am now able to use the arrow keys, which I
couldn't do before.  I have an extended keyboard on my rom03.

I don't understand why the update changed this, but can someone tell me
how to regain use of ^K [and other functions that I may soon discover I've
lost]?  I tried changing the filter settings to other than the default
tables, to no avail.
