   ProTERM is definitely fast. It does inverse text just fine; bold
and underline can be optionally set to display as inverse or not.

   No. Not planned for the immediate future.

   3.1. Yes. Take a look in apple2.caltech.edu, pub/apple2/comm
for the pt31 demo archives. Apparently it supports 10 minutes of
access, downloading and other features are disabled.

   It's very strongly recommended.

   Try the company which publishes ProTerm, Intrec. Drop by
http://www.intrec.com They have a toll-free #, 1-888-PROTERM. Scantron
Quality Computers at 800-777-3642 may be slightly cheaper, but I'm not
sure if they have Proterm in stock right now.
