Odd, my XRGB2+ doesn't resync at all (USA IIgs set for 60Hz refresh).
Instant switch between text and graphics modes just like a real 15.75Khz
CRT. From what I have seen, the IIgs basically has fixed frequency
output, there should be no re-syncing between video modes.

That is true for all "traditional" modes, but SHR uses a different
dot clock (16MHz) that some devices will see as a change of resolution
that justifies a reinitialization of video capture.
