Concluding you are using a Mac to download from the AOL Apple II 
archives section, the following program is for the Mac, to allow 
conversions of Shrinkit and other type Apple II archives and text files.  
You can find it via the following URL.

FWIW - you might also like to know that a project to make all of the 
Apple II AOL archives available via Ground - Apple2 ftp site is now in 
progress. They should all be there and available for public access via 
the Ground ftp site within the next month or so. About 251MB of archives 
and text files have to be transfered before it's all complete.
