Okay, so the machine swapped eth0 and eth1 around on a second boot of
the LiveCD- with eth0 being wired and eth1 being wireless.

I put the wireless game adapter on the test server's inbuilt port.

changed the configuration so that atalkd is over eth0, and .. the IIgs
sees the server, the performance is.. not that bad, I think that
particular Linksys G adapter sucks. As the router is telling me that
it's reporting 9% signal when everything else is in the 60-70% range.
Including the computer near by the adapter.

So basically any wireless along the path fixes this issue.
