Try the self diagnostics. I believe it requires BOTH apple keys to be 
held down along with control and reset.  Be advised that this does NOT 
check everything.  Years ago, 1/2 of the keyboard died on my //e.  The
6300pro? chip had died.  Even so, the //e gave me the OK message.
