See my answer to Devin's post.  In short, I don't know (I have always
had it "slow" because I'm still using the built-in disk port for a 3.5"
drive).

I expect that you could run it fast, provided you have nothing connected
to the built-in disk port (just 5.25" drives would be OK, due to the ZIP
slowing down to 1 MHz in sync with the computer when the drive motor is
activated).

It depends on whether the SuperDrive card's firmware and/or the GS/OS
drivers do any timing critical operations with the computer running in
"Fast" mode.
