Re: Mark Twain Video Now Available

Has everybody noticed yet (Newbies, please read this, please!) that almost
every single person that wants to do something for the GS has been
insulted by Mr. Turley in the past 2 weeks? Let's see who he's insulted:

Ian Schmidt, Joe Kohn, Tony Diaz, Brutal Deluxe, Nathan Mates, small
developers, and the list goes on and on.

How could any of you want to trust a guy that goes off on anybody that
even looks at him the wrong way? A guy who posts on the USENET to
MILLIONS of people (ok, thousands on csa2, but he crossposts) insult after
insult and then claims to be a saint.

Brutal Deluxe has brought us many games and utilities, including the
incredible "Convert 3200" -- and Tom is BASHING them! Do you think
anybody wants to keep developing when a guy on the usenet keeps saying
they're useless (a guy who has only cracked software and sold it under his
own name and never written anything beyond "hello world")? Oh, I met
Olivier of BD, and he's a cool guy -- definitely everybody should get to
meet someday!

Joe Kohn publishes Shareware Solutions II and makes shareware and great
products available to all of us at pretty low prices, coordinates new
software releases that may never have been released, and gets us deals
from other A2 manufacturers, yet Turley (who has never done anything close
to that, with his latest literature (which is really just a
reply-to-message-flame, not really prewritten) of the Turley Chronicles).

Tony Diaz keeps A2 hardware available, even the hard to get items, but
somehow he has become hated by Turley, who has posted publically hideous
insult after insult of a guy that's pretty cool!

Ian Schmidt gave us some great software, including MODZap and AudioZap.
Ian has since departed the II community, mainly because of Turley -- who
wants to be insulted? If you went back in time and read the posts from
Turley, you'd find they have a familiar ring to them -- always calling
someone "delusional!" and saying that they "live in a fantasy world!"
(sorry, had to use the exclamation marks to resemble Turley-writing).

I published PowerGS for a while (no time lately), and even I got bashed by
Turley. I told him he couldn't write an article for my magazine because
nobody would want to read it anymore, and he said he couldn't understand
why. Weird if you ask me.

I was given so much hacked software from Tom, who originally said years
ago (before he gave the software to me) that Ian Schmidt had flown down
from Iowa, broken into his house, stole specific disks, flown back up and
then uploaded them to the Net under Turley's name. He then changed this
story to be someone else who, while he was using the restroom, grabbed the
disks out of his disk case and uploaded them (yes, while he was in the
bathroom!). Now he says that he KNOWS I did it, but that Joe Kohn could
have done it as well (so what does he know?). I never did such a thing,
but it's funny to see him bounce blame back and forth. So, he posts on
the Net that I am this delusioned kid with visions of gradeur that is a
druggie (I've never done drugs in my entire life, and I never will).

So, do you trust a man like this? He has been the cause of many people to
leave the II world, and he's been the source of 70% of the flames on this
group. He has hacked commercial software and sold it (Appleworks for
$10), distributed it on the Net (OmniPaint, Spectrum BETA), and then
blamed it on everybody except himself (me, Joe, Tony, Ian, Brutal Deluxe
(hey, maybe they DID fly over from France and take the disks! <grin>),
blah blah blah.

The choice is yours.
