I have installed a PC transporter into slot 2 of my IIGS and
am having difficulties running the Automatic Configuration.
When I boot up I am running the PCT software on a 3.5 inch
Apple Disk drive. After selecting option One (Run PC Transporter)
the auto config starts, runs a memory test, indicates that it is
loading from the (Dos) drive. The light on the PC Transporter
drive (5 1/4 "standard" included with the PCT). I then encounter
a DISK READ ERROR. I am unable to get an A:> prompt.
The MS-DOS diskette I am using is a Double Density diskette formatted
for 360 K using DOS ver 3.3. From doing a directory on a PC this diskette
has 192,512 bytes free. Files included on the diskette are SYS.COM,
FDISK.COM, FORMAT, COMMAND.COM and the two "hidden" files included on
a system disk.
My question is if there is any special formatting to be done on this
DOS diskette. Should it be low density and if so where do I find low
density diskettes? Are there any other files that should be included
on this DOS diskette?
Any suitable advice will be appreciated.
