Umm, I believe that Randy has already explained that the particular
extension you are referring to is now OBSOLETE. The new Macintosh PC Exchange
lets you read ProDOS disks, but it WILL NOT MOUNT PRODOS HARD DRIVE
PARTITIONS AUTOMATICALLY.
I know, Macintosh PC exchange implies only PC's, but under System 7.5 or
later, you SHOULD NOT use the older extension. (I misunderstood at first
and learned the hard way--lost 5 Apple II formatted disks when the Mac
crashed each time during a disk write. Took out the extension, and the
problem went away.
