There is a system extension called "ProDOS File System" and what this does
is assist my Mac in handling ProDOS volumes - I've got my HD with a 10Mb
partition, and the partition shows up on the desktop underneath the HFS
volume, with a cool icon noting that it is an Apple II ProDOS volume. If
you do not have this extension in your extensions folder, it could be the
reason why when you mount the HD, only the HFS voulme shows up. I think the
extent of ProDOS support on the Mac is limited to 800K media unless the
aforementioned extension is installed -- you may want to give it a try. It
comes bundled with the IIe Startup Disk software for the LC IIe card and
can be found on Apple's FTP sites.
